Being busy impairs agency

I’ve been really busy the last 4 months. Like so busy I can’t do things I would normally accomplish with aplomb.

The busyness has kept me from being able to focus on anything other than the thing I’ve been doing.

Coming to the country was supposed to reduce busyness, but it increased it (this is due to the quality of the house we bought, and then felt compelled to fix and improve). (Principles: leave it better than you found it; only assets have value.)

As we approach the end of the project, I know I don’t want to live in the house (I’ve always known that). And I know I don’t want to retain the asset, if possible.

I look forward to being less busy–to choosing how I spend my time, rather than being compelled to spend it in one way.
