Planning ahead

With this new role, I do some things with the company’s finances. And for month-end, I get to travel to global HQ. Which is great.

Except I have things I do every day. And therefore I have to plan around that.

Questions I get to ask myself:

  • How do I maintain the morning schedule?
  • How do I keep up with the needs of finance coaching?
  • How do I make sure I give the company the time it deserves, but still retain time for me?
  • What can I do during the days before–and the four days I’m there–to retain the cycling fitness I’ve built up?

Strangely, the answer to most of those is “bring my personal computer and a book.” And the riding one is “hope the hotel has a gym with some sort of “bike.”

The answer overall is “plan for it.”
