There are so many moving parts with this move + remodel, it’s hard to feel like any progress is being made.
The outside of the main house is still unfinished. It’s 6 weeks in progress right now.
The garden needs planting. Trees need planting. Soil needs tilling. There’s a ton to do in our yard and land.
But there has been major progress on where we will actually live.
A week ago we didn’t have a building.
Now there is a building. It has electricity and plumbing. And it’s insulated.
In the coming week, we’ll install a shower, and it will be sheetrocked, taped, mudded, and textured.
At which point we can prime and paint and put in the rest of the switches and outlets.
Then we can put in flooring and build the kitchen and move in.
Obviously there is still a lot to do.
But there is progress being made.
