How my schedule and planning has helped

I started a new role at work this week. In an area of business I haven’t really touched since early in university. There are requirements and details required of my that I had 4 days to grasp, and I’m not fully on it. Monday was a holiday, and I still worked 40 hours this week.

I also woke daily at 530, spent 30 minutes studying scripture, wrote for an hour, and had breakfast. Two days (of a planned four) I rode my bike after work for 30+ mins, and I also spent several hours working on finance coaching.

But I didn’t fall apart.

I had planned my tasks and priorities out more than a month ago, and I stuck to my plan.

I’m not super-human. But this week I felt that way because I got everything done and more than I expected. During most other, less planned times of my life, I probably would have started clamming up and not completing all my tasks.

I am sure I need to rest, but I also need to get on the bike and ride. Even if it’s only a meditation ride (stationary bike, I won’t crash, I promise).
