I had a professor who argued that we should orient our monitors vertically: the short side should be right to left and the. Long side should go up and down. Like paper or books.
He makes a good point, if all we do on our monitors is read.
He’s wrong if you use it for literally anything else.
We see in widescreen. Our eyes naturally view the world wide right to left. We can look up and down, sure. But our peripheral is much wider than it is tall.
So why do you orient your phone vertically when taking pictures or video?
Stop it. You’ll thank yourself when you go back and view it again.
