I thought (and said) I was moving to Idaho to simplify my life. I really thought that.
But I didn’t take into account all the work it would take to keep up the land (that was a bit wild) and the effort required to make the house livable. (Of course I didn’t know how much that would take till we started taking it apart.
Simplifying might be about making things simpler. But it also might be about putting the correct first things first.
As we look to moving now, we are focused on worship. We are moving with the intent to put God first.
I have a feeling we’ll be more successful at simplifying this time.
If a thing is likely to get in the way of worship, we’re not going to consider it.
It’s that simple.
