Season of thanks: Food

It’s what came to mind first, ok?  Don’t hate.

Form the time I was small, I have been pretty hyper.  My metabolism is extremely fast.  And food keeps me alive.  I love food.  It has flavour, texture, and sustenance.

I laugh every time a friend questions whether there will be food in heaven.  I’m pretty sure there will.  Food (good food) is one of the most exquisite things on earth.

I’m glad I don’t have to imagine what life would be without a big, juicy burger; chicken gravy-slogged fries, or 20-minute frozen root beer floats.  Similarly, I’m glad I don’t have to imagine dinners without ribs, potatoes, and an italian dressing-covered salad.

Flavour makes food a joy to swallow; it makes the benefits of food more accessible and it makes it enjoyable.  So when plans were made to keep humanity functional and wholly nutrated, I’m glad food was created to bring joy.
