Ritual and consistency

I haven’t passed sacrament for a long time. There hasn’t been a need for it. Everywhere we’ve lived, there have been sufficient young men to handle the responsibility.

And then we moved into an apartment complex in Utah. And there are literally no young men 15-18 to bless, and ostensibly none 11-14 to pass

So I got to pass today.

And nothing really has changed from when I did it as a youth.

The meaning is the same. (Stronger, now that I’m more mature and experienced.) The actions are essentially the same. The specific execution may vary.

And the reverence of adult men doing the work is much greater than squirrelly youth, but the essentials are the same.

No matter where we’ve been, even if the congregation itself had a different feel, the ordinance of the sacrament is the same.

Geography doesn’t change it. Location doesn’t matter. All that matters is the renewing of covenants.
