A new year

Last year was difficult. There is no other way to put it.

This year promises to be difficult to, but likely in different ways.

I start a new job.

I move to a new city.

I change my support structure entirely.

I get married at the end of February.

All of that is likely to alter my balance a bit. But all of those add new stability to my life.

A new job brings income and surety of temporal support. A new city could bring some new challenges, but also brings new things to explore.

A wife introduces new interpersonal challenges, and challenges changing some of the habits I’ve acquired over the last ten years. But she brings support and stability unparalleled by anything I’ve had before.

This year will be new. It will be challenging, but it will bring more opportunities to grow.

Last year brought challenges, which brought growth, which brought blessings.

This year looks to do the same.
