Season of thanks: Mental coherence

Knowing my grandfather is losing his cognitive abilities must be having some type of effect on me.  I’ve known I’m blessed with slightly above average mental abilities (yes, I can bend spoons with my mind), and I realized about a year ago that I want to leverage that gift from God to make money.

Therefore, the worst thing I can possibly imagine to have happen to me right now is to start losing my mind.  I dreamt last night that my grandfather began acting very much like Gaius Baltar’s in season four of Battlestar Galactica: rude, crude, and without regret.  I hope I never become like that.

For now I will take much comfort in the fact I still have my mind.  And I will attempt not to be concussed ever again.  Because that is not fun, and if you don’t believe me ask Taylor Twellman.
